Elizabeth Taylor I've blogged on this and specifically created a policy link for The Dianna Prince Pinup Academy, going over every detail of shoots, rules and guidelines. It's apparent to me the numerous gals are not reading the terms. This causes several negative issues, assumptions and altered plans. I want to know go over all rules and guidelines, again, in detail. Without going into a single emotion or opinion. I highly encourage clients and models to read this in its entirety before booking a shoot or additional shoots. The 2018 academy policy link is still active and was modified slightly a few months back. Every single model who messages me receives the link as well as returning models. Maureen O'Hara Every single time someone cancels whether it's a week in advance, days in advance or day before a shoot, NO MATTER WHAT, WHAT THE REASON OR EXCUSE IS, no matter how many times we've worked together, how beautiful you are, how much fun we have,...... the results of EVERY cancellation is EXACTLY the same!!! All of these things go to waste or end up resulting in a waste of time. 1. Communication planning back and forth 2. Time spent preparing wardrobe and hairstyles 3. Time spent finding a location or building a set 4. My entire day, plans before and after a shoot are altered 5. Plans for the money I've already began working for, altered 6. Plans for publication from that shoot, altered 7. Anyone who is involved and was booked, has their scheduled plans now altered It's not as simple as the excuse or person giving it effecting the outcome, reaction and consequences. The reason why NEVER matters, in biz, the results are ALWAYS the Same! It may seem like it's not a big deal. Just like gals get top comfy and show up late habitually and think it's no big deal either. Anything that wastes time, alters plans in a negative way and stops positive results from occurring, will NEVER be ok! Ann Sothern I'm convinced that people who cancel, often assume and really believe that their particular excuse is somehow unique, like it changes the consequences just for them. It doesn't and that's a fact! There are 2 main rules in the academy policy that are related to canceling. #1, if you cancel a shoot you booked and it's less than 48 hours prior to it, there's a small cancellation fee. No exceptions! # 2 This must be paid within a week whethera 2nd shoot is booked or not. If the cancellation fee isn't paid #1 you won't be invited back. #2 I'll pull an upcoming issues you're scheduled to be in. Not helping anyone gain publication if they break academy policy and fail to pay cancellation fees. So I'll repeat this once more for good measure. No matter who you are, what the exact reason , aka excuse, how many times we've worked together, how much fun or past success we've had, no exceptions!!!! It can be your very 1st and only time canceling last minute. Results are still exactly the same, PERIOD! Rosemary Clooney Lastly something essential to know was added to the academy policy about 6 months ago. New rule. It's called 3 strikes you're out. It had to be created and added and I hope when the consequences hit and I implement the rule gals refrain from getting emotional. IT'S WRITTEN in the policy, clear as day! If you break any of the academy policy rules 3 times I won't invite you back. Listen carefully please. This means any of the rules or a combination of them. Meaning breaking the same exact rule 3 times or 2 or 3 different rules a total of 3 times. 1. Being over 15 minutes late 2. Showing up without the styling fee 3. Showing up unprepared No under garments No stockings Makeup not fully done Hair wet, dirty or unmanageable Nails groomed or preferably painted 4. Poor communication Hard to get ahold of Doesn't make communicating a priority 5. Canceling or canceling last minute No matter what reason, no exceptions Alllllll of the things listed above are essential at every shoot with everyone! If there's a combination of any of those things or just the same rule being broken, once you reach 3 times, I can no longer trust you'll follow the policy.
